I'm here to rant and rave about every day life as well as asking some questions and getting some answers.

R.I.P. George Carlin
Almost forgot about this.
I was saddened to hear that beloved comic George Carlin passed away. I'm not into too many comics to begin with but have been hooked to his material ever since. I was going to put a clip of one of his shows but the network here in the Disney resort blocked out youtube.com. I'll put one up once we're back in Miami.
In light of my current job situation I was thinking about not going but since all we were going to do is spend time in the sun and soak in the pool...I thought "What the hell?" I worked pretty damn hard and put up with a lot while working at Carnival.
My wife's parents invited us to tag along to their hotel in Walt Disney World for the first 3 days and then we switched to Disney's Vero Beach resort in Vero Beach, of course. Nice quiet little town. Not a whole lot to do but sit back and relax. We might go and see Wall-E this Friday. I'll give you the scoop if we do.
I got a pretty nasty sun burn all over my face, shoulders and upper back. Not pleasant when I try to switch positions in the middle of the night.
A bit of good news for me I thought I'd share. I went to apply at a Regal Movie Theater near my home but they don't get a lot of business so the General Manager referred me to another location of theirs and advised that he knows for sure they're in need of Associate Managers and associates as well. He gave me is email and told me to send him my resume and I just checked my email and received one from the other GM saying he wants to meet me for the Associate Manager position. Cross your fingers everyone and say a little prayer for me. I'll keep you updated.
I was just feeling a bit blue about a lot of things and I heard this song today and thought I'd share it with you guys. I could relate to the lyrics. I'll be back later to let you know about my day yesterday...which sucked by the way.

I'm a huge fan of George Romero's zombie flicks. I've had the pleasure of meeting him and he's a humble guy with great vision for zombie stories. Sure, there were a lot of zombie movies made after the great ones like "Night of the Living Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead", just to name a few, but most of those were crap.
Anywho, for many years a lot of people posed the question "What would you do if a zombie infestation broke out?" or more famously "What's your zombie plan?" Well, I'd go straight to a Super Wal-Mart while hitting any gun stores along the way. Sure, most Super Wal-Marts have hunting rifles and maybe some hand guns but there's more variety in the gun stores. Why the Super Wal-Mart beside the aforementioned reason? It has everything you need to wait out the zombies, i.e. food, electronics, toys, beds, etc. Only issue would be what kind of zombies? Are they George Romero's kind, slow and dumb, or the remade "Dawn of the Dead" or "28 Days Laters" version, fast and intelligent. Then you just have to block of the main entrances. Yes, I have thought about this, lol.
So...what's your zombie plan?
Here's an short made by recording a Halo multiplayer match. Enjoy
I know it's been a while and seeing as I have a bit of free time on my hands at the moment, I thought I'd come on here and see what's up.
I no longer work at Carnival Cruise Lines. I was extremely happy there and very proud of myself since I'd been there longer than any other job I've had in the past. I was 2 weeks or so shy of a year when I was informed the company was letting me go. It seems that the cruising industry is not doing so well what with the economy going bad and no one can afford to go cruising now a days.
It just so happens that I was let go at a very bad time as the owner of the townhome I was living in decided he is selling the place and we had until the end of our lease to find a new home. We did, and we love it. It's much more "roomy" and not a bad price considering how most townhomes in as good condition as ours is in are much higher.
So I'm going on my job hunt. It feels weird to start all over again since I was at CCL for almost a year and after all the trainings and new changes that went on within the company but hey, no reason to look behind and worry, just have to look forward and do what I have to do.
Oh, did I mention my wife is once again pregnant? HA!! When it rains, it pours. Not that we don't want it or welcome it, it's just it came at a bad time, such as it is. I am, however, happy as a pig in sh*t. lol! One thing I love being most is a father, next to a loving husband, and I know that I can do things better this time around as I had to do a lot of growing up to do with my daughter. Plus, my wife has this wonderful and beautiful glow about her when she was pregnant and I'm looking forward to that....amongst other things. lol, the wifey knows what I'm talking about.
And on a last note, for anyone that has any contact with my mother or anyone that could relay the message to my mother, please don't!! Only a select few know and she is currently visiting my brother in Tennessee until next month and I don't want to worry her during her much deserved vacation.
I'm a fairly simple guy living in the horrible city of Miami, FL. I'm married to a wonderful woman and we have a beautiful 6 year old daughter and another child on the way. Been playing guitar for a little over 10 years. I want to have a career in the music industry but living in Miami, it's not easy. Born and raised here but dying to leave already.
